When I Started:
Jun, 1993
How I Started:
Started off working out just to tighten up and lose some fat. I did a lot of aerobics classes, other than my pregnancies I was never more than 10lbs. over weight, although always lacked muscular definition. I know body fat had a lot to do with it, but I didn't really know what I was doing with the weights or my nutrition.
Why I Love It:
It's a stress reliever for me and I'm liking the changes my body is slowly making.
How I Stay Motivated:
Clothes, mirror and looking at old pictures of myself.
Felt as big as a house in this picture. My husband twisted my arm to post this ugly pic. Gave birth to my second child 9 hours after this pic was taken. This is the reason for my troubled midsection to this day.
Well I'm sorry to hear that, but that means that you just need a little kick- and you will be right back and stronger than ever. I'm pretty good, life gets crazy sometimes and keeping my focus is a battle, but I'm determined. I'm going to check back and see how you are doing- YOU CAN DO IT!! I know you can, find something new to motivate you and grab hold and get after it! I'll be back soon!!
Hi Betty. I was just checking out your pics. and saw you're a fan of skull crushers. I've been doing them quite a bit lately, but have been using a low pulley w/ a revolving curl bar. It works great because at the end of the set, you don't have to deal w/ a bar loaded up w/ weight. They work great for me, and w/ using a weight stack instead of free weights, it's great for doing drop sets too. Anyhow, just thought I'd pass it along. Keep up the great work, and have a wonderful day.
Thnaks for being a friend here Betty. You are off to a great start. Keep up the good work. If you have time please give me a vote at www.bodybuilding.com/2010-body space-spokesmodel-search-men
