My Army PT test is coming up on the 17th or 18th of May. My two mile run is averaging 14:40. I have to be able to run it under 16:36 according to my age (25). Pushups and situps have never been a problem, just my run. But now, my body is aerobically conditioned as it once was in...

I didn't recover. I have lived with it for 4 years. I don't do many lower back excercises. What I do is work around it. Instead of a regular squat I do a smith machine squat with my feet placed in front of me rather than under me. No deadlifts for me. For barbell rows I always have a chest rest to support my lower back. I hope your back injury is short term. Good luck.
