How I Started:
When I was in high school there was a girl who competed in the teen category and I thought she was so curvey. I wonder where she is today, she doesn't even know who I am or that she inspired me.
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding has taken my petite body and given me curves. I love the discipline that bodybuilding instills in me.
How I Stay Motivated:
The mirror is a great motivator. I don't obsess with the mirror but I always make sure that everything is in check and work on what's not up to par.
BB Accomplishments:
I find that adding muscle to my small frame is a huge task. It seems that being small unfortunately means I have genetic limitations so knowing that I am able to do well by adding mass, makes me feel accomplished.

My mini-cut was successful and now I'll "try" to gain some muscle.
Goal (Long):
I was training for a show for 2008 and instead had a baby. The doc ordered me to stay out of the gym at 5mo pregnant so I lost a lot of muscle. My goal is to regain the muscle that I lost and possibly competed in 2010.
Captain Ahab is so strong! His story speaks to my heart and all that he has been through really inspires me keep my drive and focus in every difficult event of my own life. I want to have a fraction of his self-esteem!
Coming back from behind the eight-ball so to speak is a challenge. The feeling of being stretched in so many direction leaves me wondering if I have enough to give in any one aspects of my life at this point. My physical condition is deceiving, many say I look good which is a great compliment...
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting me on your most inspirational list. I am incredibly humbled by your wonderful words and will do my best to live up to them. It is people like you that keep me inspired as well as allowing me to believe that I can make a difference in people’s lives.
Stay strong, focused and determined and may God bless.
It took me a while to believe in myself but you should be incredibly proud of what you have achieved and with your wonderful body and good looks your self-esteem should be though the roof. If not girl, we need to talk. Many times you become what you think you are so yu need to BELIEVE stronly in yourself & your abilities Remember: "You can be as great as you want to be. If you believe in yourself and have the courage, determination and drive and are willing to pay the price, you will do it!."
You look amazing! You have the body that so many women want but are not willing to put the work into developing. You should be complimented on your dedication, determination as well as achievement. You are a fantastic inspiration to so many others. Stay strong, focused and determined and may God bless. Remember: At first so many of your dreams seem impossible, then they just seem improbable, and then, through your hard work, they soon become inevitable.
Thanks Ironmom! Yes Laynedoes mass programs as well. In fact, I'll be working with him off-season. You can reach him at www.biolayne.come.
You look great btw! Good luck:).
Hers was on Tue the 15th. LOL, yeah, we had a smash cake! I bought a cute little cake at Walmart for $3.50 and let her have at it. Then of course I had hubby videotape the event. I did the same with my son only we accidentally recorded over it, waaaahhh! Glad to hear your diastasis recti is better!
Thank you so much! Coming from someone of your physique it means a lot! Like you I hope to put on 2-5 pounds of lean mass in the next year. I'd love to get where you're at :)
Hi Sharon! Enjoying the hot weather? We finally got it! It was nice to have the extended cool days. I hope your training is going good! Are you doing any local competitions soon? I would love to go see you :)
Thank you dear! It'd be a dream to compete as BBder! I do train as if I was one to gain definition and love it!
People who push themselves to the limit do inspire me :) So if you were here we could have great wkouts! :)
Well, I'm still just doing core exercises, I think I've pretty much resigned from the typical ab exercises cause I really want my waist back, it was 27 inches before weight training. As for your problem/concern, honestly, I'm underqualified for this, if you were my client I would advise you to go get it checked cause I really don't think it's normal especially after 9 months.
Hi there and thank you for your comment. Yes, I'm small frame and yet I do want to do bodybuilding from figure. I guess I'm a muscle fanatic but so hard to achieve it. So hard to be very strong at 50!
I am still trying to figure out how to respond to posts and stuff here but I wanted to ask how you are going about gaining?
I started to clean up my diet-which was pretty clean to start-but lost 4 pounds over two weeks but then increased calories a bit and lifted heavier. I am thrilled in two more weeks one pound came back! I have never tried to do a gain so I am learning!!
Well, It will be a pleasure to meet you. Im sure we will cross paths soon. Keep up your hard work. Im sure you will be rockin' the stage soon enough! :0) Stay blessed~
Hi Sharon, Just curious if you are going to be competing in the OCB AZ in Sept? It would be nice to meet you (if Im ready by then?) Keep me posted. You look Fabulous dahling... :0)
