Played football in high school and loved the workouts. Graduated high school weighing 170-graduated college weighing 230. Down to 210 now but that's because I started running.
Why I Love It:
I love a challenge. First it was to get to 220 then 240-but I graduated and found a new passion in running. There's no other feeling of accomplishment quite like finishing a marathon.
I still lift because I love being in shape and I always want my body to be ready for anything. Bodybuilding may be later down the road-I love the iron and hitting those big poundages!
How I Stay Motivated:
Flex magazine, the mirror and bodybuilding DVDs
BB Accomplishments:
Nothing bodybuilding but I did run my first marathon in Dec '07. It was a trail marathon and I got the fever. Ran St Louis Marathon in April and my third Mini in May
Forum Signature:
"If it felt good you didn't push hard enough, it's supposed to hurt like hell."
I make them up myself. But I have used an arms routine from Flex and a leg routine from Muscle and Fitness. But all those years in school and doing this on my own I usually make it up
Why I like this video: Jenny Lynn is the shit when it comes to pushing yourself and getting it done. Charles Glass is THE ultimate trainer. He's the best in the world and I've trained my clients using his techniques.
CrossFit Central 300 Challenge
Played: 48
Why I like this video: Crossfit is a great workout for me while I train for my running. It keeps me in shape and it incorporates a lot of bodyweight moves which are the best exercises you can do.
Memorial Day 2008: Murph
Played: 29
Why I like this video: My favorite CrossFit workout! And it honors a fallen soldier. First time I did this I wore a 20 pound vest-big mistake took me about a half hour!
