I've been fat all of my life. I hit 335 in the summer of 07 and decided enough was enough. I wasn't going to add another "Obese American" death statistic to the boards. Started working out and eating far better and the weight started dropping. Turns out eating fast food crap burgers for 4-5 meals a week isn't good for you. Who knew? ;)
Why I Love It:
I love that there is zero chance of failure at fitness. It is the only thing where, if you keep at it, success is imminent. People spend their whole lives trying to be actors, writers, singers and never reach their goals. Fitness is not like that, as long as you keep trying, you will succeed.
How I Stay Motivated:
I cannot fail as long as I don't quit. There may be minor failures along the way, but I will not fail to reach my goal as long as I keep at it.
BB Accomplishments:
March 13, 2009: Century club! 100lbs lost! Completely stoked!
March 6, 2009: Bought my first L shirt. woot!
April 2, 2008: 50 lbs lost, 285 is the fattest I will (n)ever be again.
May 16, 2008: Bought my first XL T-Shirt. I haven't worn that size since High School.
Oct 31, 2008: Broke 250. Next stop, 225!

You show me someone that got fat by eating fruit and I'll show you someone with a deep fryer and too much time on their hands.

What Il_Dago Is Up To:

Il_Dagochanged Weight from 231 lbs. to 227 lbs., a 4 lb. loss in 14 days
Now that I've started to accept me. I feel like I can finally set goals and not be afraid of failure. Start small: 200lbs. I'll likely change it once I get there, but 200 is a nice arbitrary number for former fatasses to aspire to. I've lost 100lbs, and I want at least 50 more.
I could list all of the things that happened in August/July to sidetrack me, but does it really matter? I mean, in the broad scheme of things, does knowing all of the minutiae that ****ed my schedule up and led me to say "You know what? This month is a loss, I'm going to sacrifice it and...
Just dropped by to see how its going bro..We have both come a long way but this road is fairly long.Ive lost over 140lbs now and still feel a million miles from how I want to look,if you have any motivation tips care to share.I am getting pissed off with dieting now I just want to put a ****load of muscle and size on but I still feel too fat to dare. What a strange life this is If I could have took my stats months ago I would have accepted now they make me feel ive got nowhere
What's up bro? Hope you're still kickin it in the ass. I had a sick week and am above 250 again. lol Not worried though. I'll drop it within the week. Even with Thanksgiving:-)
Hey there, congratulations on your loss. May I ask how you like the casein protein? How do you take it? Sorry for the questions, just curious, as I have recently started taking the Iron Tek with micellar casein for the slower digestion. I have "heard" it to be good before bed? How do you fell about it?
Anyhow, keep up the good work, and good luck to you in all that you do.
The 12-week Body for Life program helped both my wife (bodyspace: judimax) and myself achieve our much-needed body transformations. I lost over 50 Lbs and went from 36 to 10% bodyfat and judimax went from a size 12/14 to 4/6 during the 12 week Body for Life program. Let us know if you wish more info or if we can be of assistance.
