I've found that I do not respond well to many sets with low reps. I like to do lots of reps (at least 10 on most upper body exercises). I try to do 12 reps on leg exercises.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
1-2 minutes. I'm not fully recharged if I don't take at least a minute. Also, I'm in the habit of breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth when I'm resting.

Right now I'm just focused on getting around 3000 calories so I can build muscle. I want to try to get on a more strict diet when I get back home because I'll be able to have a bigger say over what I eat when I'm at school. I'm trying to figure out what to do at school now. I try to just get a lot of protein (milk, cottage cheese, and a sandwich or something). I'm still kind of trying to figure it out.
Hey thanks man, I'm always looking for tips too. I just try to eat clean, but eat as much as possible when I do. I eat a lot of oatmeal, wheat bread, lean meats, protein shakes, almonds, peanut butter and of course fruits and vegetables. I'm supposed to be taking in a little over 4,000 cals a day but you really need to commit to it. Lift HEAVY, good luck with your goals
