I think my pics say it all, really. I was fat and needed to get into shape.
I was 236 pounds, almost 40% bodyfat and had a 118cm waist - what more incentive did I need?
Why I Love It:
The highs I get from it - plus no matter how crappy I feel, no matter how bad a day I've had, the iron is still always there and it never judges.
How I Stay Motivated:
I like the results, I like what I see in the mirror, and I like feeling strong.
BB Accomplishments:
Latest deadlift of 186 pounds is damned motivating, plus I'm now starting to get my abs through - and I've NEVER seen those before.

This is me after I'd already lost about 2 and a half stone (roughly 40 pounds or so).
And yes, my hair naturally is that colour. :D
Can't be arsed to retake it. :D
I'm really liking my back, definitely becoming an asset at any rate. I hold all my excess weight round my butt and upper legs, but it'll go. Hasn't really got a choice LOL.
It's scary to think that...by the time June hits, my body might actually resemble how I f ...
Short-term goal is basically to keep this up, keep lifting weight and working out, and stay focused on my long-term goal.
Goal (Long):
Also, I've entered a strength contest on extremebodybuilding.net that begins 1st October and runs till April next year, based on bench, squat and deadlift.
I want to start powerlifting, so I'll be starting a 5x5 programme to give me a helping hand with that.
I've given myself till mid-2010 to squat 350 pounds (so, it's two and a half years to squat two and a half times my current bodyweight - near enough. :)
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 5 lb

Ran up and down some Scores (a set of steps in my town - one of which is 132ft elevation in 129 steps and I didn't stop while running up the damn thing, piccy below), went for a run down by the beach and did another day of the "one hundred push-ups"...
I stopped by to say way to go and to wish you nothing but success as you continue to work towards your fitness goal. Too many people think it can’t be done and so they don't even try but you are proving that with hard work and dedication it can be. I look forward to watching you progress. You are a great inspiration to so many others and should be very proud. Stay strong, focused and determined and may God bless.
