It's great to have you as a friend on here :) When I read "Foolish Goals" I thought, "Woah, this girl is hardcore!" So I want to keep reading your blog now for inspiration. My training for the Jan.31 competition is going well. I am eating a disgusting amount of food and supplements and am now 235 lbs, by the day of the meet I should be a little over 240 and I will probably squat and deadlift about 500 lbs, and bench 350. Stay tuned for video footage of the meet!

I really liked your most recent blog entry! It was just what I needed to read, to let me know I am not the only one with goals other people think are crazy. People I run into from highschool don't even recognize me! You have to be a bit obsessive in order to make extreme physique changes!

Thanks man. And I looked at your pictures on here, and you look almost the exact same as my best friend, same height, shaved head, build, etc, even his tattoos are a similar style. It's uncanny.

Thanks man! I am only 200 lbs now, and by 200 I don't mean "about 200" I am 200 lbs on the dot. My sister took the new pictures of me in the red shorts, she is so cool and supportive of my progress!

Hey how's it going with your goal to squat 405 lbs by March? You should check out my profile again, I have a new pic up of me measuring my right thigh at 31", they've actually gotten 2" bigger than before since now I'm squatting 225 lbs for sets of 20 reps the volume has totally ballooned them up!

Hey man, how is it going with your training? I just put up some new pics on my page and updated my body stats. You should do that too, remember if you put yourself out there for the world to see you will be more motivated to look your best physically.

If you find it online it might be very expensive because it's rare (I actually saw an out-of-print book about Michael Jackson being sold on amazon.com for $150 US !!! Needless to say I did not buy it).

Oh and if you are looking for social support I don't think BodySpace will be enough. You need a group of real-life people to physically be in the gym with you and push you with friendly competition. Little comments posted on your wall here are not enough.

Your friend is right, it is a VERY well written book. The author is far more honest than Arnold would ever dare to be, because let's face it politicians have to be careful to avoid offending the majority. I like "Muscle" because he is honest, he tells you everything about the reason he got into it, the gym culture, steroids, etc.. And yes I do own it but it is hard to find in stores, I tried to buy a copy for a friend at Chapters and they said it is out of print.

I'm the same way, I can outlift any normal person but compared to other powerlifters I am actually below-average. Yes I can deadlift 450 lbs but I would have to be doing at least 2.5 X my bodyweight to be considered strong by powerlifting standards. And I weigh 220 so that means I should be deadlifting at least 550 lbs. And my bench should be at least 1.5 X my bodyweight AKA 330 lbs but I'm only doing 285 right now. I am posting videos of me lifting on here tonight. Check them out :)

Yeah but how can you truly know who is a steroid user and who isn't? The female powerlifters I've met who bench 300+lbs, and squat and deadlift 500+lbs are all "lifetime drug-free", and they pass all their drug tests so we have to give them the benefit of the doubt. It is suspicious though so I know what you're saying.

Hey thanks for the add! BTW if you are stronger than most guys in the gym why don't you post your all time best lifts on here? I have met female powerlifters at meets that are stronger than me and they only weigh like 140-150 lbs. And what is an online BB competition?? I didn't even know those existed until I read it on your page.

It's nice to get people from Vancouver on my BodySpace. You say you're pretty buff now? How much do you weigh? You should post some before and after pics too.

I asked that because most of the time powerlifters can squat and deadlift about the same, unless they are wearing a squat suit, then they can do alot more in their squat. In Ronnie Coleman's training DVD you can watch him squat 800 lbs for the first time in his life, and he was 310 lbs solid muscle then. So you are as strong as him if you can squat 800.

Hey, I'm just wondering how in the hell you can squat 811 lbs but can only deadlift 267..? How is it possible that you can squat over 500 lbs more than your deadlift? Can you seriously squat 800?
