How I Started:
Was a three sport high school athlete: football, baseball and track. I started college at 154 lbs. with a 28 inch waist. Gave it all up for the work load of an Ivy League education and nice dinners and too much time for others. I'm 46, and it's time for me time, and it's time to look good again.
Why I Love It:
Like the physical rush and the burn.
How I Stay Motivated:
At 43 I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, the kind little kids get. For some reason, my body attacked the cells in my pancreas that make insulin. Consequently, exercise is key to avoiding blindness, kidney failure, heart disease and stroke, and amputation. Put that way, I'm motivated.
BB Accomplishments:
I've lost 35 lbs. in the last 18 mos., dropped 8 inches off my waist, dropped 10% body fat.
