So I had been taking Muscletech products for the past year or so with minimal results. I was getting frustrated and broke. The products were expensive and while I did gain some muscle I also maintained a lot of fat that kept me pudgy (see my photos from the past year), even when doing...
You are looking great. Your training has obviously worked and I look forward to and wish you success as you get your body ready for your upcoming competition. You are showing tremendous drive and determination and I congratulate you on your exceptional efforts. You are a great inspiration to others at a time when it is needed most. "You are proof that you cannot dream yourself into the body you want: you must hammer and forge it, rep by sweat inducing rep."
Go to inbf.net and e-mail Charlie if he knows of anyone in your area. The promoter of the event may also be a good person to contact. Let me know if you get in touch with someone.
Hey just did some calcs based on the weight u stated and BF and if you lean out well you will be arounds 175-180lbs mark Either a lt. lt. heavy or a tall heavy middle. Dont worry about losing to much, use this show to learn then if you lean down well u can use the rebound after you are done to add more muscle. Take care man!
Which organization are you competing in? I'll try and see if there is anyone I know in your area. Posing is so important and you should have somebody who has experience have you hold your poses!
Are you taking any posing classes? It helps before you plan to show because you will squeeze the excess water out of your muscle tissue. I was on a diet of 150g Carbs, 225g Protein and 35g Fat with a carb up day once a week (200-250g).
You never quite know if your ready until you get on stage. Are you competing in the Novice division? Someone said to me, dominate then move up to the Open Class. Counting calories? What's your breakdown for carbs, protein and fats?
If my schedule, permits me. I'll be there, usually the first part of the year is tough. If you need any advice let me know. Both promoters and the judges are great. The show is full of competitors, who are very helpful. If you haven't yet start slim down. The show is on March 20th. I'll talk to you soon. I had some flu like symptoms, but nothing serious.
It is. the most important thing is to give a try and see how your body reacts. Many competitors do practice sodium manipulation but in different ways and reasons.
Thanks, Dan. I'm natural. I do a quick sodium load for a couple of days then cut it drastically. While loading on sodium I increase my water intake to about 2 gallons. once I cut sodium, I begin to decrease my water. It's all a puzzle and everyone's body is different. You just have to see how your body reacts.
Training has been great lately. Im seeing and feeling the gains, especially on my legs. Still have to work on them but my chicken legs are a thing of the past!
Hey, man.
Great leaning out while keeping your mass. You looking to compete? I'm in it to get your kind of delts right now, so feel free to dish out any secrets you've got ;-]
Cheers!

Yes mass is being added but unfortunately a lot of it is in fat rather than muscle. But it is the season, and I will be cutting starting December 26th! Going to try for the competition in Kelowna, BC in April.
