How I Started:
I've had a lot of good friends over the years who have influenced me to get into personal fitness.
Why I Love It:
Better health, stamina, & confidence (chicks dig a dude with confidence). Overall, you just feel better about yourself, especially after a good workout.
How I Stay Motivated:
I basically got to the point where I feel like crap when I miss my workout, more than two days in a row. The chicks help too.

Goal (Long):
I used to be really into cardio. I ran my first marathon in Hawaii, Dec '06, in 5 hours 11 minutes. Far better than I thought I'd ever do. But what I didn't know, is that I ran this thing on a hairline fracture! It killed my talus (main ankle bone), and I had to have it fused with my tibia (shin). So, needless to say I can't run anymore, ever! Bummer, I know. My left calf is really skinny!
So, know I'm into building muscle. I've been doing it for about 2 years. I'm currently 5'11", 205lbs but I haven't been able to maintain it with all the surgeries i've had. I just had my last one in July '08, and am ready to hit the gym and reach my goal by next summer. I wanna gain 10lbs of lean muscle and reduce my bodyfat to less than 10%.
