I was in The Recovery Center for drug and alcohol abuse. I started walking 2 miles to the YMCA to lift weights. I wanted to get away from all the people who were standing around smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee. At the time my dad was distributing supplements, worked at a excercise equipment store, and was bodybuilding. He helped me learn more about what I was doing in the gym and how to eat.
Why I Love It:
It's challenging and requires dedication. Having muscles is hard work, but very rewarding. I like to flex the muscles and watch them grow.
How I Stay Motivated:
Read the bible, listen to music, and watch movies like Rocky, Miracle, and Facing The Giants.

Let's watch it grow
I'm putting on some size finally. This is the most I have weighed in my life!
Why I like this video: This is what it means to give everything you've got. This pumps me up everytime I see it. I'm sure it will motivate anybody to give their very best.
I just weighed in at 193 lbs. I can't believe it. I am 7 pounds from 200. WOW! Getting stronger and feeling great. I have more bodyfat, but the muscle is growing as well. I am willing to gain a few pounds to get BIG! Yes, I'm actually doing it.
Actually going to UWS this Fall. Major in Exercise Science. After I hurt my back and got sick I lost a bunch of weight and all my lifts went down. Pretty sad! On my way back up though. Im going to start to lift with a old buddy of mine in the evenings over at NorthStar in superior. That gym kicks ass!! how do you like the Beverly International products? Im looking for a new protein and Amino Acid.

I see that you are using the best supplements that money can buy and they should give you all the assistance you need in that area. Weightlifting gives us a lot and stress relief is one of the benefits along with many others. Push yourself to be the best that you can be and I wish you much success and look forward to watching you progress.
Finally back to 100% this week. It only took a little over a month between my back injury and the bad sinus cold I had. Lost about 8lbs overall. Most from my midsection, some water weight. Feeling good! Im a firm believer in letting your body rest and not overtraining.
Great Story on how you started, I admire your dedication despite of the things that you've been through. You have made the right decision being in a great top shape and in good health. Your Dad must be proud of you. :) By the way, Thank you also for serving. ~MJ
House, just wanted to say we got home last night and we are well. We serve a great God who doesn’t forget about his children. Thank you for your concern and your prayers.

Over the years I've done them all and I always do a different work-out everyttime I train, I really don't have any secret tip to give other than never quit! Later Daryl Jones www.superheavyweight.com
