When I Started:
How I Started:
I started working out about 20 yrs ago just plain dumb about but i wanted to get bigger. i didnt eat right or train right that is until i went to work on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, there was a helichopter pilot that stayed on the platfrom he was an ex marine captain, very quite guy most considered him an ******* but i was intrigued with his work out ethitic every day rain of shine he worked out we had to make out gym out of what ever we could find but there was plently of stairs to run and places to do pull up and he dearly loved wide girp pull ups, he didnt really want a work out partner i just tagged along and tryed to do what ever he was doing. i weighted about 150, he allways told me i was a poor excuse for an amercian male, i just flipped him off and kept workingout there where no encourging words from him only ridacule but i was so impressed with his detemination and self motovation, that was about 20yrs ago we both took different jobs in the gulf i still see him from time to time he allways looks me over good it feels so good to be in good shape when i see him, he is an awsome motavator i have gained 20 + pounds of muscle sence then,He looks exactly the same "awsome", working out has had such a positive infulence in my life and my sons and daughters also and i owe part of that to captain Andy B. Wise. So hats off to you Captain if by Chance you read this cause i would never tell you this kinda shit to your face lol.
Why I Love It:
i never get tire of the occasional comment like you looking buff dude. shit like that keeps me going i love the attention, i cant lie.
How I Stay Motivated:
bodybuilding.com is a great movator and seeing people my age that are in horrible shape, it makes me thankful that i have the passion and drive to stay fit.
still working on the P90X program had a big family get togetgher at moms for Easter i got a lot of coments about how good i was looking that was so encourging. i have lost some body fat for sure i wish i could have gotten an accurate bodyfat measurment before i started the program im sticking...
Just read your story. Very interesting read. You have accomplished a lot, and it shows. You look a lot younger than your age. I bet you feel a lot younger too!
