My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program

What works for me

I am going to start by lifting at the gym instead of at home. Then I really feel like I have 'me' time and am more focused. I am starting a base so I don't know how often I will lift, but I do know that I have to eat more to fuel my workouts. I also need more rest periods than I previously thought. Perhaps 2 days on 1 day off?

I will work on my cardio at a later date.

I don't log my warm-up and stretching in my workouts.

Whole Foods

I'm trying to follow 40/40/20 plan. Whole foods is the long-term goal.

I eliminated microwaveable meals in May. Now eliminating any proessed foods.

Also eliminating companies that are owned by Monsanto and any other GMO containing foods.

It's worth it. And it forces pre-planning and whole food consumption.

I buy locally grass-fed beef from the local butcher shop.

It's the first week of Oct 2012 today and I'm on week 2 of gluten-free and not eating sugar. I don't believe I have a wheat allergy, so that won't happen beyound the month of trying life without it. Again, it really forces you to read the labels.

MOTIVATION

My motivation comes from wanting to have the body I've always wanted and that I know is inside me.

I am looking for other females that are tall to share experiences with. What works, what doesn't, and adaptations we make because of our height. I've always been tall but never had a 'bean pole' physique. I'm not sure what body type I am, or if I'm a combination. Really, it doesn't matter. I am who I am.
