How I Started:
I have worked out off and on since college. I played softball until my Senior year. I couldn't manage my Sr. Year curriculum, working 20 hours per week AND softball. So, I dropped softball (which I will regret forever) and joined the gym. I am one of "those" who work out here and there and have been like that ever since.
Why I Love It:
I don't really love it. I'll admit it. I have to force myself to go to the gym. Maybe someday I will be able to edit this...but as it stands I am doing it because I have to.
How I Stay Motivated:
I am trying the 12 week plan with the motivation provided by my husband. I am hopeful that I will be able to stick with this and no longer be a "Dean". (my husband's co-worker who is always on a diet, has no self-control and doesn't really listen to the advice given to him...which is pretty much what I do)
I want to fit into size 10 Jeans. I want my total cholesterol to be less than 190. I want to be able to walk up 5 flights of stairs and not feel like I need CPR. I want to be able to look at a piece of cake or a plate of cookies and say "No thanks!". I want to take the fit test on the treadmill at the gym and actually PASS it! I want to feel better both physically and mentally. I want to actually practice the things that I instruct my patients instead of being a hypocrite. Lastly, I want to live and grow old with my husband without serious, preventable things happening to me such as diabetes, high cholesterol or hypertension!

It's slowly getting better. Your doing great. Give it some more time and you'll see the weight come off. Don't get frustrated, just keep going. It will happen. How is ur training going besides that?
Hi, how are you? M still training. Not too much difference on abdomen but definitely legs, arms and butt. I can't follow Chris's exact workout but I do try. Sometimes I have to modify according to how much I can tolerate. How about you any changes you notice?
Thanks. I will take the rest on my leg if they offer though. I have shoulder and abs for my workout tomorrow. I may throw in a few leg exercises at low weight and low risk. We will see. How was ur workout?
That's good. Mine is going great. i can see the progress in my body and am very happy about it. Unfortunately, I have to stop my leg exercises until at least Monday when I see Physical Therapy to find out what is wrong with my knee. So, what are u training on today?
