How I Started:
A tornado forced me to move away from my hometown my senior year of high school to a city where I met a wonderful person, that turned out to be my boyfriend. He is a 5'6, 310 pd bodybuilder and he got me hooked on the fitness high. I have learned so much from him and so thankful he came into my life. I have beening working out for the last 3 years generally about 3 times a week, but not "serious". I am happy with who I am now, but why not reach for something better?
This is me starting a new beginning to my life. I want to live a long, healthy, and happy life and I believe health and fitness is the key aspect. So here is a cheers to a life of workouts and protein shakes! yay!
I know how to change my body. I feel that I have knowledge in supplements (managed supplement store for a long time), weight training (my amazing boyfriend, researching and fitness firnds) and nutrition (vegan health-nut mom and roommate). Although I feel knowledgable, I am a sponge and plan to learn more throughout this experience.
Why I Love It:
You know when you get done working out, breathing hard, face flushed, and you start to walk down some stairs and feel your legs go rubber? Most people hate this part, but this is when I give a little smile and go "oh ya!".
You learn so much about yourself and it makes me feel so alive!
How I Stay Motivated:
The motivation or me is to live a long healthy life for my future family.

I want to live a long healthy life. This is a life change for me and so it may take longer to reach my ultimate goal, but it will be permanemt. I would like to be around 18% bodyfat and around 140-145 pounds.
Goal (Long):
Lose 1 pound BF a week and reach a healthy, strong wight of 140-145 pounds. At this time, I do not have any plans to show. I would like to get involved in more activities like road biking and outdoor rock climbing. I just want to live a healthy happy life.
It's been about a month now that I have ended a long relationship and working out is the only thing that helps. Not only helps, it gives me the strength physically and mentally to face each day and work towards my goals. I feel as if I am finding my true self and I don't think I could ever...
I just dropped in to wish you success as you work towards your fitness goal. I believe that with your determination and desire you will be amazed with what can and will happen. I look forward to watching your progress. Stay strong, focused and dedicated.
your AVI pic makes me miss the beach...even though I'm only 45 min away from it I never get to go. Do you go often? You've got some serious dedication! keep up the great work! I've been getting up at 5am and lifting 5x/wk and playing basketball for cardio 3-4x/wk. Starting to get back to my old self again.
Hey, thanks for the encouragement. I need all that I can get right now. You seem to be doing really well, I can definitely tell that your thighs are toning up in Sunday's pics. Your overall progress is very inspiring. Keep up the hard work, you'll reach your goals soon and have to set new ones.
Thank you for the add. I hope you can drop me a line occasionally for encouragement and any ideas you have. I would like to be able to ask you for pointers and/or ideas to progress. If that is OK with you? I hope to be an encouragement to you also. Thanks again and stay strong.
Yes I did because he was the only one who didn't screw me over, haha. When you find someone who you feel at ease with, is a good person, and doesn't provide drama, then it's a good chance that he's the one. That's how I judged it for myself.
My brother was with someone for 9 yrs from the time they were in college. They seemed fine to me, but in the end they knew they weren't meant for each other. Soon after, he hooked up with an old friend of his and 5 yrs later they got married last June (yeah, he likes those long relationships, LOL) She gave birth to their first baby less than 2 months ago. So, things work out for the better.
Like others said, stretching & light cardio would help on soreness. We're all diff......I'm usually sore the next day the most. Some don't get sore til 2nd day. I'd say every 3rd day should be the MINIMUM for working same muscle. Certainly not every other day. I was hitting mine every 4-5 days, but right now just once a week & going heavy.
