Skinny & sickly most of childhood & adolescence. Graduated HS@6'1" 145#. Started lifting in the community college gym. It was small and I had no clue what I was doing.
Why I Love It:
It makes me healthier and stronger, inside and out.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing & feeling improvement. Set a healthy example for my son, and be able to keep up with him as he grows.
BB Accomplishments:
Never competed in a bb contest. The dnf's in my contest history are only because the page doesn't count the placings - I always finish.

Building lean mass. I want to feel worthy of entering a best arms contest.
Need music mixed for a routine? I can do that.

I'm doing well. I am still hitting the weights and planning for next year. I'll go on a little vacation toward the end of October, then I'll be back in prep mode when I get back.
I know - I'm counting down. :) You ready for the run? Yay for pics! They'll help a lot when you can sit them side by side and see your progress. When I start to get frustrated, that's what I do. Keeps me going. :) You'll be surprised at how quickly you see changes.
I always find new excuses for not putting them up (I'm too this, I'm too that), but I have to keep reminding myself this is all part of a process, and you're never done. You're always balancing and re-balancing. The main thing about progress shots is that you can see where you were at point A when you compare them to the next round.
RL=real life. I'll be down for a bit, money is tight and home life is killing me. But that's another story. Abs are easy bro, they're half genetic (which sucks for some people) and half discipline. You can do a lot of target muscle work but most of it comes down to body fat. Diet is #1.
Yep, going as well. Good luck in the run! :) Progress pics are tough to take. I think this is the first set I have "liked", and even then I saw a million things I wanted to work on. Just gotta do it! At the very least they provide great motivation! :)
No gains just solid losses. Got off track and I let RL get me down hard, lost everything I've put on plus a few lbs. I'm not even at square one right now I'm off my game hardcore.
Thanks for the kind words. Your mention of being sickly reminded me of a story. I was an actor when I was my skinny younger self, and I was doing summer theater in upstate New York. An old woman came up to the director and asked, "That thin boy was very talented, but tell me...is he sickly?" I had a hard time living that one down.
