When I Started:
How I Started:
Always worked out and stayed in decent shape. I had some personal things happen and let go of myself for about a year. My progress pics show this. I decided to pull myself back together and here I am today.
Why I Love It:
It gives me reason to strive. Direction when I seem to be standing still. Pushing the limits, testing my physical and mental borders, dedication - to me that is fun.
How I Stay Motivated:
Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength. Strength lies in the power of the mind. Power lies in the fight, in the attempt, in the suffering involved, not in the victory itself. Just seems when you have your Diet, workout, and sleep right on track... the weakest link yet toughest challenge is literally your mind.

thanks for the blog comment, my diet is pretty clean. I eat 5 times a day, lean protein like egg whites, turkey, and chicken, and whole wheat bread, brown rice, and a lot of fruits and vegetables. I don't drink soda or coffee, I don't salt anything, and I drink a lot of water. I try to consume most of my carbs in the morning and I always have carbs before a workout and protein right after. I think I'm eating right, but maybe I'm totally wrong!

Not that there's anything wrong with smoking pot and drinking; but I never smoke pot and gave up drinking a while ago; my insanity is not induced by anything other than naturally misfiring synapses. High on life, that's me, bro. Thanks for the compliment. Looking pretty trim and buff yourself there. Regards, Herm.

QUESTION: I have been hitting the gym on empty stomach in the mornings. But I think I should take something before the workout. Should I just do a protein drink, or a protein drink + some type of carb? Thanks for your input.

Great Bodyblogs brah. You should add your workout/s in there. I had a specific question for you though. How many cals above maintenance are you? And when you switched from cut to bulk did you gradually increase cals or immediately go over maintenance?

Thank you, your not looking too bad yourself! lol, ya ppl read them. I found that out already. Energy levels are better in the gym if I have something before hand. I have been trying to have something within the first hour after training. I am normally famished when I'm done. So, ya it did help, thanks!

Hey, if you don't mind could you give me an example? I currently lift 3 days a week. Mon, Wed, Thurs. Should I increase it to 5 days a week, concentrating more on individual parts each day and lower my cardio to what? My cardio is 6 days a week, mon, wed, fri- 60 min / sun, tues, thurs, 20 min HIIT and 30 min med. intensity. Thanks again man.

Thanks for the support and info, I've been trying to figure out how to get the rest of the "fat" to disappear. Last week I started drop-sets, using heavy weights. I notice some results. Thanks again!
