I weighed 150 lbs. at the beginning of the summer 2007. I had been lifting for about a year heavily but my diet was so bad I was just piling on muscle and fat. I decided to do a competition in Chicago in July and hired a trainer and nutritionist.
Why I Love It:
Gotta love the burn!
How I Stay Motivated:
My own changes motivate me to improve more. Strong women inspire me. It doesn't matter if they are bodybuilders, schoolteachers or stay at home moms.
BB Accomplishments:
Bodyfat % from 25% to 12% first, now I'm slowly but surely putting on muscle.

I lost alot of muscle dieting for competition and feel weak now. I want to get SRONGER because that is the only way to know your muscles are growing. Every time I lift I want to be able to do more weight and more reps. If I can't then I know I didn't rest long enough or didn't eat enough. I'm going to keep my eating consistent so I can always have the most energy for the workouts.
I want to stop worrying about my weight because I know I'm going to put some more on. I need to keep my eyes on the bigger picture and realize that when the weight comes back off I will look 10X better because I'll have more shape from muscle development.
Now that I've won my figure competition and am Ms. Figure Tucson 2008, I'd like to figure out a good mass gaining diet and workout plan for developing my legs and abs. I want to make sure I don't over train myself because I think this is what was preventing muscle growth before.
I don't currently have a trainer and am open to any advice.
So the past few months I've been a little lazy when it comes to doing fasted morning cardio, mostly because quite frankly I like to get up and eat right away. And also I'm not doing a figure competition in the near future and feel pretty lean so why bother? But I've also been feeling kind of...
Hi! Yes, I did work with Cathy until this past month. I work with Dr. Joe Klemczewski now but my direction/interests are a bit than yours. Cathy is great for someone with your interests and direction. I understand your hesitation about online training and that's why I would strongly encourage you to call Cathy and talk with her. I think she could really help you and I think you would really like her approach. Let me know what happens.
Best,
Pam :)
Yea I've put on a couple of pounds. I plan on getting back to the gym and running again next week, but I just had to take a week off I've been dieting and in the gym everyday since January 2. I've put on about 20lbs or 25lbs some of it is water weight though but not all of it lol. Are you planning on doing anymore competitions this year?

I was searching google for the results of the show so people didnt think I was making it up when I told them I won because some people still dont believe me and my brothers didnt take any pics which sux. but i saw your bodyblog and thats how i found u lol
I can't think of much new that has taken place over the last couple of years. Got that whole polygamist drama going on...so I guess that gives us something to talk about, at any rate. LOL
If you come back, we'll have to hit the gym!
