I had some unexpected changes that have taken place in my life over the past several years.
I figured I was just wasting my life; and I need to do something about it.
If you would have told me that I would be bodybuilding, I would have laughed and said that there is no way I would consider doing that!
I simply would have said, "Bodybuilding is too much trouble and is a waste of my time".
Wow, I was so wrong! I certainly have had my share of the ups and downs that life can bring forth across one's path. However, I have always seemed to manage, and make my own way through. I have used lifting weights as a form of relieving the stress of life and keep me focus.
Why I Love It:
Lifting weights have giving me the focus that I so desired to have, and the patience too.
Finding out that I was HIV+ positive in 2004 certainly taken its toll on my body!
I had suffered with mental problems all my life, but my focus has taught me if you can focus on something positive you can turn that negativity in to a positive effect.
How I Stay Motivated:
I owe a lot to bodybuilding.
I thought to myself, I was going to die both mentally and physically if I did not do something quick. I had no focus or goals set in my life at the time. I thought I have accomplished everything I wanted, but that was not true what so ever. I have always been in to bodybuilding; I just thought it would be almost impossible with my bone structure and with my HIV status.
But if you have the drive anything is possible.
BB Accomplishments:
My lowest weight when I fist got sick was 150lbs., which was the turning point in my life.
Being tall (6’6) and 150lbs. Was not healthy or correct in height and weight proportionally.
So I started gaining weight, eat healthier and lifting. Even though I am not at my ideal weight, I am now at 205lbs., much better than 150lbs. For sure.
Going Through All My Heartache And Pain Has Only Made Me Stronger!
I want to gain 40 pounds of muscle
My goal is to gain muscle mass.
Goal (Long):
My fitness goal is to put on weight, I am 190bs and want to reach 240.
I would love to prove that having a physically disability interlineally or externally means nothing.
As long as you are focus and have the motivation you can accomplish anything that life throws at you.
As it states I am HIV positive, but I wont let that inhibit me, and maybe I can be a motivator or a source of hope for others that are in my shoes.
My personal goal is to be 230/240 lbs. With 12% bodyweight…
