When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I had built up so much hatred and animosity toward myself that I was constantly punishing myself for the simple act of living. One day I finally realized enough was enough and started taking care of myself. Then I started to push myself harder and began to see what I *could* be start to emerge. Now I want to inspire people the way people I admire have inspired me.
Why I Love It:
I love to sweat. I love the feeling! And the burn, when you think you have not one single rep left and you knock out two more...that's a fantastic feeling of victory. At that moment, I feel like I can handle almost anything. (not that way, ya perv!!) :)
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by having health minded people around me as often as possible, keeping photos of my before and progress pics next to hardbody fitness gals on my mp3 player. That brings my intensity into super hight gear when I see my fat ass next to someone very fit and muscular. Yep...that'll do it every time.
BB Accomplishments:
At this point I can only say that I have discovered I am capable of far more than I ever imagined, physically. I trained with a fantastic guy here locally who pushed me so far and so hard each session....I had NO idea I would come so far in such a short time. In the future, I hope to compete...even though I'm 40 this year. Hey, I still got it! And what I don't 'got' I can get! HA! ;)

I want to lean up and am considering training for competitions in the future.
Goal (Long):
I will be able to do pullups without assists!
I plan to look ready to compete in figure by spring of '10. Then I will work on the necessary steps to BE ready to compete.
I will motivate family members to practice wellness, as well.
I will take these changes and create a new career for myself.
I will sleep more so I will have the energy to DO all this (and because sleep is one of my favorite things to do...haha)
I will win the lottery. (hey, that can be a goal, right?!)
I will hit the gym 5-6 days a week! (if not, then days I'm not in the gym I will be active!)
Also I will remain positive. No matter what.
My wife and I know where you are coming from & believe that you can make your fitness dreams come true, probably sooner than you think. My wife (bodyspace name: judimax) went from size 12/14 to 4/6 and I lost over 50 lb’s and went from 36% to 10% bodyfat by following the 12 week Body for Life program. Push yourself, possibly out of your comfort zone and you will be amazed at the results and they will be well worth the effort. Give either of us a yell if you wish.
Not too bad! Try changing things up if you're stuck...maybe heavier weights? Or try circuit training at a higher heartrate. (Invest in a heart rate monitor if you haven't already!)But diet is definitely the key...easier said than done, right?! Good luck!!
I'm well, thank you!! I haven't been a fan of Chinese food ever since about 6 years ago when I found a leg of a cricket or something else that I don't even want to think of in my food! Sure, maybe it wasn't a leg...but, maybe it was
