Drunken Panda I've caught some of that 'Christmas Cold' going round, but thankfully it seems to be going already. The steroids should help calm things down - ideally, they're not a long-term solution, but if you can get things under control to start with your body has a better chance of achieving (and maintaining) remission naturally. Hope it all works out for you. Regarding gym membership, I'm a big believer in bodyweight training - it's free and always available! Dec 20, 2011 1:20pm

Drunken Panda I'm sorry to hear about the PSC Liver disease. The medication should help keep the inflammation under control, and may help with the UC since they're both (potentially) autoimmune related. destructo77 Hey man. How are you? I hope you're doing well on your way to 190. I've been taking a little more time off from the gym. I don't think I rested enough last time cuz it started up again after my third workout back. I'm going to try to go back Monday and go a little easier. I'm coming up on a year since my first flare up and I'm still learning a lot about how my body reacts to things now. Sep 30, 2011 1:40am

Drunken Panda As for BMs, during the day I'm having about 5-6, which I consider fine. I'm still having 3 BMs during the night, which IS a little annoying, but no victory comes without a cost, and if going to the toilet a lot in the night is the price I have to pay to have my insides INSIDE, rather than in an external bag, then it's a price I gladly pay. Actually, this last week I've only been having 1-2 BMs a night, so things are getting better. Sep 22, 2011 4:33pm

Drunken Panda PM's are still buggy (lot of bugs on Bodyspace!) so I'll just answer here! I took a lot of fish oil when I had colitis, and I did feel it helped with the symptoms. It didn't get rid of them, or stop the flare-ups, but I did gain some benefit. Fish Oil is very good for the body anyway, so I'd keep taking it regardless (if you feel capsules aren't being digested well, just drink it neat/pour it in with a protein shake) Sep 22, 2011 4:26pm
