Admittedly, I was 105lbs heavier. Yes, it's true. Being a single mommy I reached the point where I knew I couldn't be the best role model and example mini me deserved if I wasn't at my best and living a healthy lifestyle. Really became exhausted with settling for excuses in my life vs taking action.
Why I Love It:
OH MY GAH!! Not sure we have enough bandwidth...ha! Knowing I am continually developing, challenging, and changing my body is an empowering feeling. Especially knowing where I started. The level of security, confidence, self respect and just knowing I look and feel my best is priceless. More so, being a role model, inspiration and mentor to my daughter as well as truly being able to relate with EVERYONE out there. I want to be a face in the industry that represents determination, perseverance and strength regardless of where you're at and what your goals are.
How I Stay Motivated:
I'm about as stubborn as they get. I'm always setting new realistic goals so failure doesn't find much time in my life. I also acknowledge that the long term goals I have will never come to fruition if I give up. As well, I ALWAYS try to surround myself with positive peeps who will encourage and support my goals.
More importantly...this:
"Hello,
I've been reading your profile and checked out your progress! WOW! I'm so very impressed. I'm starting my actual work-out/weight loss program today. I kinda started a week ago but with family in town I couldn't throw all my crappy food out of the fridge or make it to the gym. So, my question to you is HOW in the world did you stay motivated when you started out? I am at least 30 lbs overweight right now. I'm an NASM CPT but I work too much for the military to actually train. I'm getting ready to read your MSN page as well! I just want to let you know that you have really inspired me to get serious and quit slacking off. I'm 38 and not getting any smaller. You have not only completely transformed your body but your entire life has changed as a result and that's a wonderful thing! Your baby girl has a great mommy! I would absolutely love and appreciate ANY ADVICE that you'd be willing to share to help me reach my goals. Thank you!
Joyce-K :-)"
