Overall Goal: I desire to improve myself as a natural bodybuilder and personal trainer. I want others to see that it is not what is in the bottle that matters, but what's inside each of us.

When I Started:
Jan, 1999
How I Started:
I moved to UT and was board as.....
I figured that since I didn't golf, I had to find something to keep me from going insane.
Why I Love It:
When I am working out, I am in my own world.I control the intensity and the direction it takes. The world outside of me ceases to exist. ALL BOUNDARIES ARE BROKEN..... EVERYTHING IS RAW, PRIMAL ENERGY!
With all the negativity in this world today, it's hard to find that kind of raw passion for anything. But once you you find it, it's addicting as well as contagious to everything in your life.
Working out is one of the factors that pushes me to be better, stronger, and more passionate in life.
Life without passion.............Well, it just isn't living!
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at man's laws of living that tell us that at age 50,60,70, or 80 we should be/not be doing this or that activity. This I find an example of some who breaks that stereotype, and I embed in my mind that I'll be as active if not more when I reach that age.
Even when I am preparing for a competition, I look at the longer term goal.... an overall healthier me. I Compete against the best person I personally know in the gym; my self. That way, I can always push myself to be better each day. I compete against my best, so I improve on my best, not someone's else.
BB Accomplishments:
I won Middle Weight the NGA 2000 Mr. UT Natural and NGA Northern States Bodybuilding and Figure Championship. I earned my Pro-Card, but I was not happy with myself, so I push on before I feel I can really call myself a Natural Pro
I desire to improve myself as a natural bodybuilder and personal trainer. I want others to see that it is not what is in the bottle that matters, but what's inside each of us.
Goal (Long):
If I have learned anything from being a natural competitor, I have learned a lot of people have not harnessed the power within themselves to change, before resorting to taking chemicals. Man has changed, survived, and evolved (for the most part), for thousands of years naturally. This is despite hardships brought on my man and nature. We have that inner energy and power to become great beyond our wildest dreams. But we must find the passion inside to drive ourselves beyond man's limited capacity to see this greatness.
What is muscle without function? Waste! When I am 60 years old, it won't matter if I could life 300 pounds when I was 35. It will matter that I can still be fuctional and strong at 60,instead of laddened with inuries and aches.
Don't just build your body.... Don't just shape your physique...... MOLD YOUR LIFE INTO WHAT YOUR WANT!
I am sorry I haven’t posted anything lately. I just need to take a little time to do some soul searching and critiquing. This is something that I used to do on a regular basis. I think it keeps you well grounded and going in the right direction in life. I allowed buzz of life deafen me to...
Hey! Yeah I know. I have been gone for a bit. I not only let myself get derailed, I didn’t dish out the encouragement to my friends. I apologize. I know I don’t have to but I have found that my friends help me stay on track and I hope I do you as well. So please forgive me for abandoning you and fill me in on what you have been up to these last couple of months. How are your workouts? Diet? Motivation? What are you looking forward too? Have your goals changed?
Your accomplishments are so very admirable. You give the rest of us short guys something to strive to achieve. Thanks for posting your inspirational pics and continue to never be satisfied on where you are at. The minute we become satisfied--we might as well quit! Keep up the hard work.
I am sure you'll make your mark.Volume training? Tell me more!! Are you certified yet? Two NPC shows in spring www.npcutah.com. Me I might jump in spring show here, but my plans are Emerald Cup in April , and Nationals in July. These are Large Plans but I figure go for it right !! Take Care
great blog entry for today! I think too many of us want that "special thing" to give us a quick body. I've found it's best to stick to your guns and do it naturally--it's the way to go!
