How I Started:
After a year of cardio-only workouts, my boyfriend at the time convinced me that lifting heavy weights wouldn't make me look like a man. Now I can't get enough of the weight room.
Why I Love It:
Working out really affects my attitude and moods throughout the day. I'm happier and more confident when I stay consistent with my workouts.
How I Stay Motivated:
Listening to great music on my I-Pod and reading motivational materials like Oxygen Magazine for women. I also work for a company in the fitness industry so I'm surrounded by health enthusiasts everyday! And I have an awesome trainer that keeps me in line.
BB Accomplishments:
Accomplishment for 2008: standing squats ON the stability ball!
Decreased my body fat by 4% in 6 weeks! The average is 3% for most people. I have become a motivation to all of my friends and family to eat healthier and exercise more.
