How I Started:
I met a man who is a bodybuilder. He taught me about eating clean and working out. How to properly work each muscle group, and he will help me tweak my diet to keep me going.
Why I Love It:
I love working out b/c of the endorphins. I am a much happier person. If I go a few days w/out working out, I am more irritable and have less patience. I also love seeing the difference in my body. The muscles, I look totally different than I did 10 years ago and weighed less. But lookin at the pics, you would think I weighed more then b/c now my body have definition and muscle. I love it.
How I Stay Motivated:
My children are my motivation. Their daily fight against their disease and handicap makes me realize I have the power to do something when everything else seems so out of control.
I would like to achieve a body that is muscular and ready for competition. To be able to maintain this lifestyle always, even when my children are hospitalized and life gets too stressful. To be an inspiration to my children and others who want to lose weight, whether to compete or to live a healthier lifestyle. To show that it is possible with determination and support and faith.

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
not controllin the weight, allowin the momentum take over. I have weak wrists so I still have to take conscious control of form so I don't allow them to "break" form.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Begin at a low weight, don't expect to do a lot. 2-3 times a week and build up from there. Incorporate a healthy diet/lifestyle.
Good news, I've lost 4 lbs. and stickin to my strict diet. I'm runnin as much as I can when weather permits. The last couple of days, I've been in the gym b/c of the weather, so I did some plyometrics and I'm doing more cardio right now then weights. I've begun runnin backwards outside...
I go jogging/fast walking (up the hills) around where I live for 45-60 mins. 5-6 times a week. I go to the gym for 30-45 mins. 5 times a week. I try to incorporate exercise daily by playin with my kids, goin for walks with them, or playing w/kids at my work. I always park the furthest away...
