Hi!
My name is Mark. I quit bodybuilding last August of 2006, but it never left me. So now, I am getting back into it by first cutting down my fat stores. August 6th is my goal date to get down to 13% (a 10% drop).
Goal (Long):
Daily I will wake up for my 30-45 minute cardio routine. Daily I will finish the day with low-carb dinners, consuming no carbs beyond 5 pm, and strategically cycling my low and high carb days in order to get the maximum fat-burn and revved up metabolism advantage. Cravings will bow down to my determination. Temptations will be fearful of my game face. I am in this for real.
Why? Because the look of veins is amazing! Veins on my forearms, forehead, and biceps. The way pants fit on a lower body-fat body is great! The way my smaller shirts fit on my looks great! To be able to sprint and not hurt my arches would be great! Confidence, energy, and living a fit lifestyle are benefits in themselves.
What's going to stop me? Even if I injure myself, I can still make smart, healthy, fit decisions. As far as I see it, I've set out in my mind exactly how I want to look like - the July & August before I got married, my honeymoon, and the August before my marathon. Yes, those were great times, and now I am going to recapture them and stay there.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 28 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
9%

I gave up the whole BB.com thing about 6 weeks ago. Why? Because I found myself addicted to it and leading me to rely on this site rather than my own self-discipline.
But you know what? I need accountability, and I'm now living with people who don't care about what they eat or how...
Wow! You have just motivated me back to where I need to be. Keep up the drive and ambition, keep on writing those inspiring words, and keep on keeping on! Thanks for the drive.
You had expressed some interest in competing in the "NPC Heartland Natural Classic" next spring... I just wanted you to know that we have been forced to move the date of the show from April 12, 2008 to April 5, 2008. For more information about the show check out our website at www.npchnc.com or send me an email at info@npchnc.com so I can send you posters if none are currently posted in the gym you train at!
GREAT blog...I would add that "staying put" is really not "staying put" at all, but moving away from your goal. In my world, you're either moving towards your goal or away from it. Anyway, you're right on with everything!! Keep it up! :) Shannon
Hi Mark, you have really defined goals and I enjoyed reading your profile. I know you have the determination to get where you want to be...Reading your profile motivates me..thanks
Heres the thing, if I don't eat it or something I start to shake because my sugar is to low in the morning. I have passed out one toooooo many times in the gym. SO what do I do or eat...I can barely get done with my workout and get in the shower before I start shaking again...
Hey, small world! I went to Chippewa but also graduated from MSU - go Spartans!! Are you still in Michigan? If so, any suggestions for a first time comp for me? Thanks! Oh yeah, and awesome back!
