What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
Simply having a plan is all I need to remain focused and motivated.

How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?
I alter this with each phase of my training. M y favourite is the 8-12 rep range.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
Usually 60 seconds, it allows enough muscle recovery without getting back into the "comfort zone". For squats and deadlifts I usually opt for 90 seconds due to the extra demand for o2 on those.
Just started a 12 week tri-phase program. Phase 1 volume; Phase 2 intensity; Phase 3 frequency. I am supporting this with 3000 calories on workout days, 2600 on rest days. I will do 20-30 minutes of light cardio on non-lifting days.
Hey Mark! Just wanna tell you man... GREAT WORK! DANG!!!! I'm so proud of you cause I know what it is like to work your ass off to get what you have!

Thanks for the reps Mark! It looks like you and gbg are the only 2 that even acknowledged that I spoke! haha JP and nam must think that they are the only one's that can speak on the topic, or that I must not be credible enough to address! lol
Thanks, Mark. On the diet, I've found if it's complicated, I get burned out on it quicker than something or someone telling me eat this, this and this... so long as it isn't gross, that is, Lol. My recent "diet" in which I leaned up a bit is far from conventional. But it's worked! WW Bread, PB (Jiff, not Natty), and protein shakes. Problem lately is sticking to it! :-) Summer time is enjoy life time. So that's what I've been doing. I suppose I should behave, someday... right?
Damn, Gunn! It's been a while since I've visited your bodyspace page. I don't think I've ever seen your "before" picture. You have made an incredible amount of change since 05. Crap... now I've got even more work to do! You gotta give me your diet!
I don't think I've ever seen your progress photos before. What a fantastic transformation you have made!! I'm impressed! Awesome avi photo -- you are looking so muscular and lean!
