When I Started:
Jan, 2004
How I Started:
While in the military hurt myself in a deployment to the Pacific. Got asprin for the pain, but when returned to base went paralized at work from the waist down. The doctors stated that the combination of having children young, smoking, unhealthy eating and finally consuming alcohol basically every weekend had lead to the breakdown of my bone structure. So after completing my contract, started reading up on starting a workout plan, healthy shopping list, stop drinking and finally hardest of all stop smoking. Hit on bodybuilding.com and that alone help me with not just finding the right products but finding i was not alone in the fight to be healthy.
Why I Love It:
It would have to be while entering my local gym, that people i had worked out beside for years approached me for advice on how i lost so much wieght, and gained so much muscle. The first time i worked out it was like nothing every felt in my life. It felt like the first time in years my body felt tired, but energized at the same time. At first was working out to much, and my body finally told me to slow down and changed my workouts to three or four times a week. Finally incorportated cardio and saw even more results.
How I Stay Motivated:
Every day i see or feel something amazing that keeps me motivated. To look at pictures of before when i was 32% body fat, and wearing sized 14 in pants to sized 1 in levi's juniors. People who ask me for advice in and out of the gym. Finally when individuals i served with in the military see me and don't recognize me. That right there is what motivates me everyday.
BB Accomplishments:
That would have to be body fat count that was tiping 34% is no around 18%. Also the muscle definition that i see where before it was nothing but flab hanging from arms, inner thighs and the hardest the abs.
you look like you have done well since leaving the military, I had the same issue with the legs only mine was caused by doctors, so I decided working out was safer
