When I Started:
How I Started:
Played sports as a kid, never stopped. Started weight training in college, seriously took it up about a year ago.
Why I Love It:
The one thing that i can be healthily addicted to lol. Plus, I can do it anywhere, and its awesome traveling, but still feeling at home when I'm in the gym or meeting other people who are really into fitness/diet as well.
How I Stay Motivated:
Constantly set goals for myself...break them and set new ones
LOL, thanks! Don't worry, you'll be here soon enough! :) Just don't stop training - I did in my late twenties and it made it much harder to get back on track in my 30's.
hey bro. my workouts for chest and shoulders have stayed more of less the same for 4 years:
chest: heavy barbell bench 4 sets 3-7 reps, incline db press 4 sets 3-7 reps, decline barbell/db bench 3-7 reps, cable xovers 4-10 reps
shoulders: heavy db press 4 sets 3-7 reps, heavy smith press 4 sets 3-7 reps, heavy laterals 3 sets 4-10 reps, rear delt flyes 4 sets 4-10 reps
thanks bro. i do the pyramid workout. i posted it in that thread. and yes, most of my reps are in that 4-6 range.
i do 10 for a warm up and 10 for a burn out at the end.
thanks bro u too. yeah it's mainly genetics and being lean. the leaner u get, definitely the better shot you'll have it getting it to appear more prominent.
I'm always trying to improve, but I'm happy with my size and bf right now. I'm really more concerned with building a more aesthetic look, my arms need a couple more inches, my waist could still go down another inch, my chest needs more depth. In the offseason I'll probably end up gaining 15 to 20 (hopefully in the right places) before cutting back down in the spring. I might be looking at 5-10 lbs in the next couple years.
Thanks buddy, feels like the 2x day system is workin well but really feel it by the end of the week! Thanks for the encouragement and support - really appreciate it. Cheers
Fly's. I use 65-70 lb DB's on fly's for sets of 6-10. When I first started lifting I concentrated on fly's and pushing my chest out, while squeezing. That's my best guess, my chest has always looked bigger and full for my height/weight.
hey thanx,on chest exercise i include crossover cables an dips leaning foward to target the chest.an best advice that i can give is jus keep a simple clean diet n u get results faster.btw coo pic!
