Overall Goal: To keep on simultaneously gaining muscle and losing fat and to genuinely impress people with my appearance. And to figure out how to take decent pictures of myself.

When I Started:
Feb, 2000
How I Started:
At first, I didn't! I was the fat kid in gym class, or one of them. So if I can motivate some other fat kids to achieve something other than fattitude, I'll be happy. And amazed.
Then my uncle, an old-school weightlifter (he still works out in his mid-60's), got me started; I liked what it did and felt crappy when I didn't do it, so I've kept at it but not always real strictly. Now it's time to take it to another level.
Why I Love It:
Stress relief (with what life's thrown my way, believe you me, I need it). Keeps me from being tubby. Makes me look better (unless you like 'em round?).
How I Stay Motivated:
Force of will. I refuse to buy bigger-waist pants!!! Plus it's a habit now, so I feel lousy if I don't. Oh, and it makes me look good for my fanboyish costuming endeavors; Hercules can't have love handles or skinny arms!
BB Accomplishments:
Not being fat anymore!
Being able to do one-armed pullups and pushups is nice.
Being able to bounce my pecs whereas I was once ashamed of them.
To keep on simultaneously gaining muscle and losing fat and to genuinely impress people with my appearance. And to figure out how to take decent pictures of myself.
Goal (Long):
For purely selfish reasons, I just want to look as good as I can. Always room for improvement, right? Ditch as much of the belly fat as possible and maintain or gain mass (this means you, triceps and quads). Ideally, I'd at least be the spitting image of Ravishing Rick Rude (RIP), at least in the torso. Realistically... bah, everything is realistic if you put your mind to it!! So that's what I'm going for.
Doing this also makes me a good role model for my son, I suppose, so it's not entirely selfish.
I took a look at her and said to myself, "If this young lady can be so jacked at her age, what's your excuse??" So I got more serious and haven't looked back!
So it's been a year since I've posted new pictures, and for that I must
apologize. A lot has happened in that year - I bought a house, my kid's
growing up fast and keeping me on the run, I spent the whole winter working
close to 60 hours a week, the list goes on. So what does a busy...
Being that I have a desk job, I try to hit myself pretty hard when I get home and get to business.
Here's a rough approximation of my routine; I'll spread these out at times, given my hectic work schedule. Frankly, I'm surprised I have time for this much.
I was doing ab work and 30...
Oh Greg, you are/were sick too? I was feeling pretty awful - bronchitis and and ear infection. There is a lot of stuff going around everyone is telling me.

Thank you very much for saying that you find me inspirational. I am both deeply humbled as well as truly honored to receive such praise. Rest assured that I will continue to work as hard as I can to prove that fitness has no age limit. Stay strong, focused & determined and may God bless.
So glad to hear it Greg! No big adventures, but enjoying it nonetheless :) Hope you have a good rest of the week - please drop by more often, I enjoy hearing how you are doing
Wow, that's sounds grueling! I am doing well - spring break was last week. Training is going well - back to the gym for the 3rd week now since physcial therapy. Hoping you have a good weekend
