I was a cheerleader for 12 years so I've always been athletic. During college I worked out but spent more time partying and eating crap, eventually regretting it and wanting to change. My real passion for working out begin when started reading more about nutrition and fitness. It became even more prevelant in my life when I started taking group cardio classes and personal training about a year and a half ago. Now, it's just how I live.
Why I Love It:
I will admit that looking good is a part of why anyone wants to work out. However, working out is my passion - it's an escape, a stress relief, an achievement. I get into a zone when I work out and everything around me except the weights and my body disappear. It's empowering.
How I Stay Motivated:
I keep up motivation by reading fitness magazines, books, and internet articles. I get great tips and ideas on how to tweak and change my routines by constantly reading and wanting to know more. This also helps me stay focused on my goals.

BB Accomplishments:
I don't have competition trophies (yet) but I think I've been doing something right when I get compliments from people at the gym or my students want me to flex...haha.

**** crazy diets. Eating clean with a few cheats thrown in is the way to go!
Goal (Long):
As a teacher, I see way too many 13 and 14-year old girls who think being stick thin is their only way to beauty. I am SO tired of our media placing those constraints on women. What changed my perspective on how I wanted to train was the magazine Oxygen. This introduced me to the fitness world where women are healthy, muscular beautiful, and proud of it. I remember thinking, I can do that! It was then I decided to start training and living to the fullest. In the future, I would love to become a personal trainer and fitness instructor. I love the spark I feel when I can help my friends or family with their workout or diet! Way too many people in our country ignore their health and fitness needs; I would love to become a part of changing that.
I want to begin competing, I can't deny that, but my ultimate goal is to be a role model not only for my students but for myself by breaking the mold, being different, and not caring what other people think about how I live. I am excited to join this community so I can communicate with like-minded people!
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 10 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
5%

Why? What are the pros and cons of working out there?
Pros - all the equipment I desire, boxing bags if I'm pissy, cardio equipment.
Cons - it gets crowded, which limits supersetting options.

What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
Weighted lower back exercises such as the good morning or hyperextensions. For me personally, my lower back is a spot of weakness and I have to be careful with my form, how much weight I use, and the intensity of the exercises. I think a lot of people may tend to use too much weight or have crappy posture when they work the lower back.Weighted lower back exercises such as the good morning or hyperextensions. Since you've been working out, taking supplements and eating right, how often do you get sick (cold, flu, etc.)?
Actually I pose a question for those problem-solvers of the bb world. How in the hell does one get "shredded abs" without extreme dieting, supplements or steriods? I'm beginning to think such a bodily attribution is much like the Spanish Inquisition - torturous. Yeah, yeah. If it was...
