When I Started:
Jul, 2006
How I Started:
I've always been active in sports, but I never liked my size despite never really being picked on or anything. Ever since grade 9 I've been interested in working out, not too seriously at first, and there were short periods of time when I'd miss going to gym.
Why I Love It:
I love the rush, the endless hours of training with no real payoff, the days when everything is sore from working out the last day.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just have that need to be better than the next guy, every day is like another chance to get step above the next person. You really have to stick with it knowing that you will eventually get to be where you want to be.
BB Accomplishments:
'NEW' gained roughly 20lbs in the summer of 09 (from 167 - 185.5lbs)
.6/8 pack (not so much these days)
.Dips: bodyweight + 60lbs x 9
This one especially because I used to not be able to do any.
.Lat Pull-ups: bodyweight + 30lbs x 7

What GSimon Is Up To:
Aug 19, 2009
GSimonchanged Weight from 180 lbs. to 185 lbs., a 5 lb. gain in 11 days
I finally reached 185lbs! After joining this site a few years ago and weighing in at just under 150lbs it feels good to be where i'm at today. My next step is to weigh 200lbs and see how I like it at that weight.
I think your posing the wrong way lol, from the looks of it your not flexing your traps and putting a lot more emphasis on your shoulder width which makes your traps look small and chest look less full
hey man i saw you had some interest in the survey. Im going to try and put a link to it on my page but if not just ask and ill email it to you. Thanks for checkin out the blog and good luck with all your fitness goals this year.
Thanks for the ideas man, I really am not putting enough food away, I didnt even realize, but I only get like 3000-3500 a day, and Im maintaining. Time to put serious effort in, thanks again.

Smith incline benches built this baby up; those are the mainstay of my pec program. They build that nice shelf right under my chin. Check 'em out and get ready to start buying bigger t-shirts! :-D
I'm diggin the animated photo, GS. Very cool. You got some nice symmetry and cuts going. Looks like you've got a long neck like me: you deadlifting and/or shrugging? It'll make you look way thicker on top. Great job though. Good luck stretching them t-shirts :-)
