When I Started:
How I Started:
I've always "worked out" (read:just going to the gym and doing what everyone else did around me) but I never got focused or smart about health&fitness goals or processes until I received my personal trainer certification and aggressively pursued knowledge from other fitness professionals through the web, gym and fitness publications.
Why I Love It:
Fitness freak because it keeps everything in check: mind&body.
How I Stay Motivated:
Almost dying a few times can be a real kick in your glutes for realizing nothing feels better than making the MOST of what you've got while you're alive and not wasting away slowly. I'm not fighting age - I'm fighting degenerative diseases of the mind and bod.
Back in 2004/2005 I was doing bullsh*t aerobics and light weights but not really "focused" and was also not eating clean and still drinking more than my fair share of alcohol. So, I wasn't really fat but I wasn't lean like I wanted to be.
Always staying both combat-ready and bikini-ready! LOL!

Goal (Long):
I'm in "maintenance" mode since I"m not in the bodybuilding/figure competition world, and I'm happy with my fat percentages so my current goal is just to improve for sports/PT. I've already been told by my doc to NOT get back down to single digits fat percentages again so I'm cool with where I'm at. :) My goals nowadays are just to improve for sports and of course always keeping my PT score high. Even though I could use the excuse of my age to slack off on my PT scores, I'm never gonna go that route! I truly believe in always improving for health, sport, etc for the rest of my life - THAT's my "goal! TRAIN NOT TO SUCK AT LIFE!
Thanks C, really appreciate it. It's cold, drizzly and have not seen the sun in weeks ...it's meant to be spring in Aus but has stalled...bumma. How's all the fitness going?
Gi, thanks for the add! I really appreciate your kudo for what it takes to keep charging on and maintaining a military career. You have an exceptional physique for any age little alone 36! Greta to see you are taking yourself to the limit and staying on top of your game. Regards,
Troy
PT tests used to be funny. Especially when the sgt dude would keep yelling out the same # as you were doing push-ups. Thanks for the add & keep up the good work.
Haha thanks for the pic rate and comments. You look amazing and I think most 20 y/o would struggle to keep up with you. An inspiration for us 30 somethings - life is great still!
For real!?! I see you say he 'tried' to carjack you? So you got shot and held him off too. You got some fight in ya thats for sure! Where did he get you if you don't mind me asking? Or did it just bounce off you? =P
