I work with special needs children and I was taking a 19 year old Down Syndrome client to the gym a couple times of week to help him get in shape and lose weight.
I didn't start to get serious about body building until May of last year.
Why I Love It:
I feel so much better about myself, I have more energy and it has improved my tumbling and running. Plus, I love the compliments that I get on my new body!
I love a good challenge! I am a vegetarian and I cannot take suppliments or take in excess protein due to an aggressive kidney disease, so building is much more difficult for me. But not impossible! Don't believe in the word!
How I Stay Motivated:
By seeing the results every time I look in the mirror and the health benefits!

Defying the steryotype that female powerlifters look like men and can't be sexy!
