Today I went to the gym to get my work out done but I also scheduled an appointment with a trainer to get a body fat test. I had never had one before today and was honestly quite scared of what the results would be. I look in the mirror and just see flab. I did the test and it actually was better than I thought. 20% body is my number. I was expected the 30% range. It is crazy what our minds convince us when we look at ourselves. Well, today I went to the gym and as soon as I get out of my car, my brother calls me and tells me our grandpa is in the hospital with kidney failure. All the pump I had for going to the gym faded away. I am not super close to him, but still, when a family member is in the hospital, it definitely puts a damper on things. I managed to gather what pump I had left and had a pretty good tri/bi day. I totally meant to do legs today but got on the cardio machine out of instinct and ruined that plan. Today was the first day that of using the Steve Poynter "Psychotic Fat Destruction" program (http://www.fitnesspoynters.com) doing Back and Chest and boy let me tell you, I am already feeling it. I have lifted off and on for a few years and I can already tell that this program is going to kick my ass, but in a good way. I need to get my body back into lifting mode as I was getting pretty exhausted at the end of my workout which resulted in not doing complete sets, although I went to exhaustion on those sets.
