How I Started:
I never really touched a weight until my freshman year of college. A friend from my dorm (Todd) convinced me to lift with him a couple of times per week. It did not take long and I was hooked!
Why I Love It:
I love bodybuilding for many reasons. It has taught me to push my body beyond my limitations. It has taught me that anything is possible. Transforming my body has allowed me to inspire others. I love moving heavy weights. I love feeling sore and crawling out of the gym! Bodybuilding has brought me new friendships, greater confidence, and better health.
How I Stay Motivated:
Staying strong and in shape for my clients keeps me motivated. Competing in bodybuilding contests is great motivation. Lifting weights provides a great outlet for stress release.

Goal (Long):
When I last competed on July 15th, 2006... I weighed in at 186 pounds as a light-heavyweight. Over the next 10 months... I would like to gain another 5 to 10 pounds of lean muscle mass. Of course I will accomplish this goal without drastically increasing my bodyfat. And, it is important 'where' I gain this weight. I am looking to improve my shoulders and arms. My delts could use more mass... which would improve my V-taper. This would also make my back look wider. So far... so good. My shoulders have made some noticable improvements. My arms have as well. My chest is acutally over-powering my arms - so I need to lay-off training it for awhile...
Update: My bulk diet is working! I am currently at 220! I am thinking I should be able to diet down to about 200 for my next competition...
