A few friends joined a gym and I decided to give it a shot. Who would have thought I would stick around?
Why I Love It:
The feeling I experience during my training sessions is hard to describe. The best word I can use is euphoria, as I often get a huge stress release. I also love the fact that you are in complete control of your progress. This is an individual sport and you decide how bad you want to get to where you want to be.
How I Stay Motivated:
I can always be a little stronger, larger or leaner. It is a never ending process that might stay with me for the rest of my life. There is just something so gratifying about lifting a weight you never thought possible or looking your best in your entire life.
BB Accomplishments:
I am currently a competitive powerlifter, so I do not have any actual bodybuilding accomplishments at the moment. My competition Personal Records include a 380.5lb Squat, 264.5lb Bench Press and 479.5lb Deadlift and a 1113.5lb total. I have also managed to take my bodyweight from 140lbs to 195lbs since 2004. I plan to compete in bodybuilding one day down the road.
