What really worked for me was abs every day (alternating between upper, lower obliques, etc). Specifically, weighted decline sit ups, hanging leg raises (with and without straps) and kneeling cable crunches. Making sure I progressed either with increased weight or increased reps every week. hope that helps.

Sorry for the delayed response, I took some time off. To answer your question...I did better than I thought, I ate like a pig and somehow still look better than I thought I would, so that's a plus. But I feel weak and the winter months get me all depressed and I lose all motivation. But if this was easy it wouldn't be worth it. Summer 2009 here I come!

Thanks! I gave up on cardio a few weeks ago. I kept getting late to work, so I had to cut it out of my workout. But it'll be back in my routine in December. Your birthdays around the corner...don't go nuts on Thanksgiving dinner!

Thanks for the encouraging words. The remainder of the year is going to be tough. Late hours at work and holiday gorging is going to put a dent on progress for sure.

Hey Steven, I see one of your pics is labeled "plasma jet." When do you take it and what effects do you feel?

Wow, the Nov 11 progress pics show the abs coming through. The veins popping out in your shoulders/arms are cool too. Keep up the great work.

Thanks. Better late than never to start hitting the weights. Summer may seem like its so far away and you may feel like you can put it off. But I made that mistake in the past, I'm not fooling myself this time!

Competitions? Like me half naked on a stage? I would die! Nah, I'm just try to get as low bodyfat as I can, then work up from there.

I've been there before and this is going to sound weird. Do a different, but still the same type of exercise, for a while (4 weeks at least) and then go back to it. For example, if your stuck on bench press switch to DB bench press for a while and then go back to bench press.

Well the way I progress is like this. Lets say I'm supposed to do 60lbs x 12 reps this week but I only did 60 lbs x 10 reps. Next week I try my hardest to do 60lbs x 11 reps. The week after that I'll try 12 reps. I wont increase the weight until I do the 60 x 12. After I reach that rep goal I increase the weight by the smallest amount possible. Then start the process again.

Hey thanks! Yeah, I try to beat my previous weeks lifts by either an extra rep or more weight.
