When I Started: May, 1995
How I Started: I started hitting the weights hard in the summer before 8th grade so that I could be stronger for the upcoming football season. The high school coach (Coach Drath) was kind enough to take me under his wing and teach me the major compound movements along with eating properly.
Why I Love It: Exercise in general is a great outlet for releasing the daily stresses that come in life. It also allows me to selfishly dedicate a part of my day to taking care of myself.
How I Stay Motivated: Lately I've been motivated by my family and friends as most of them are fitness-minded and we have a good support system to help each other reach our goals.
