How I Started:
At 5'10" weighing 230 pounds or so and having to wear a size 38 waist pants, I decided I need to do something right away. If I don't do it now at 53, I never will.
Why I Love It:
The change occurring to my body and health is immeasurable. My energy level is way higher and feeling confident when looking in the mirror.
How I Stay Motivated:
By the results and the input from other people on how much I have changed for the better. Also by the way my wife can not seem to keep her hands off me. She loves the new me!!!!! She is also on this site, doing her thing and loosing weight too. Check her out at Blurosemarie1
BB Accomplishments:
So far it is every time that I am able to lift more and get this rush from my adrenaline..also the feel of the soreness after working them muscles hard!!

Goal (Long):
To have a leaner body, by loosing the extra fat and defining the muscle areas that are hiding somewhere. Being fit will help prevent aches and pains, allow me to do more physically, and live a healthier lifestyle. Besides my wife gives me more attention, which is a good thing!!!! ;-)
She is very dedicated to her goals, trains extremely hard, she is a loving wife and is always there for me to give me encouragement when I am feeling low. Her progress is fantastic and I have no doubt that she will be on stage posing within a year....(and win too!)
What supplements do you take immediately after your workout? Why?
protein drink. using Cellmass and non fat milk, 1 bananna, mixed frozen berries, wheat germ, pure orange juice.

morning is usually 3 egg whites with one complete egg. Lots of peppers in the omlet with pepper jack soy cheese and hot sauce :-) 2 morning star sausage patties one piece of french bread toasted with a 8 ounce glass of low sodium V8 drink

yeah I am taking another week vacation next week myself, I took one in Apr, and went down to D.C, this time I think we are going to go up north and do some camping, have a good time Rob.
My goal is within 6 years be close to competing so I am not all that worried about the weight part I am content in the 240-260 range for now, I sweat like crazy and burn tons of calories at the gym but at the same time I am building some quality mass, theoretically it has been evening it self out, results are in the gains of pounds I have been putting on the bars and my pant sizes keep dropping ....down to a 40 not bad from a 50 waist 4 months ago.
Thanks for stopping by, yes I am as a matter of fact. Been busting my hump, just haven't had much time to do updating here on the site, I haven't been losing much more weight I think my muscle building is overpowering the weight loss part ( muscle weighs more than fat) that should taper off in the next few months and I should see some good results.

It IS hard to get and stay on a schedule with so many other things in life: but whatever we do or achieve in the process, even though it may fall short, is much better than never having attempted at all! :-)
The training is going good! I am not loosing weight but I am loosing fat. I want to get more of that V shape. I am going to start tracking my bf% to get a better measure of my results. How are things going with you?

Don't fret my man you'll get there. Yeah it's going great for me. 2 weeks out from my next contest and I'm the leanest and meanest I've been since I was a teenager. God it feels good! LOL!

How's everything out in Ca? Nothing much new out here. In the same boat as you, trying to add muscle and loose fat at the same time. If you figure it out, let me know, every time I try, I end up putting on more fat than lean muscle. I've cleaned up my diet recently, so hopefully that will help. Weights staying about the same, I was hoping to drop a few pounds by now. I've been able to pick up the cardio a lot so I think I'm doing better, diet is up and down....to many weekends away from home.
