How I Started:
Saw pictures of myself in a bathing suit from summer of 2008 and decided I had to do something about it. I went out and bought some women's fitness magazines and started reading through them and decided that I could get a program together for myself and maybe even someday compete in a fitness contest.
I have always been extremely active and watched my weight since I was a teenager it was very important to me to always stay pretty fit and trim.
I have owned and trained horses most of my life including working on a couple of horse ranches when I was younger training baby horses and as a Stallion Manager so I have always stayed pretty fit just from all the work that goes into that on a day to day basis.
Now that I am getting older it takes a lot more exercising and a very healthy diet to stay in shape and I have finally realized that I need to focus on the extra exercising and eating right part.
Gosh it was so much easier when I was younger :-)
Why I Love It:
I feel so much better about myself now that I am eating cleaner and working out daily.
How I Stay Motivated:
The support and motivation from my Fiance' and reading lots of muscle and fitness magazines and books.
But most importantly is my beautiful Daughter, she is my angel here on earth and knowing that I am staying strong and healthy for her is so very important to me, she is physically disabled(she has a genetic disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1, which affects all the voluntary muscles leaving her essentially paralyzed) so therefore she needs her mommy to be strong and healthy and to be around for a very very long time :-))

Goal (Long):
I have lost 20 lbs and 9% body fat so far, my goal is to continue to eat clean, workout and get my body fat down to 16% and to continue to tone so that I look great in my clothes and bikini.
After seeing what Heather has accomplished it motivated me to join team poynters program and I am already seeing wonderful results as well. Thank you Heather for sharing your progress!
First and foremost he is my Fiance', but he also sets a very good example to all those around him by pushing himself at work and in the gym every day. He has truly accomplished so much in his lifetime over coming so many obstacles throughout his life. He helps motivate me on a daily basis, therefore I push myself harder. Together we live our life very healthy and to the fullest each and every day!!
Why? What are the pros and cons of working out there?
Coverted my garage into a home gym, I don't have to wait around for equipment and the best part is I don't have to worry about getting every ones sicknesses that they bring into the gym!!!

Hey vacation girl....Did my race last weekend and did pretty good for my age..LOL I ran the whole 3.10 miles in about 35.17 minutes..not to shabby!! Working on the next one in January called the Frost & Fog Run...that will be chilly here indeed!!! Wonder if they will let me have snow dogs to help me :-) heheheh.... well thats sweet of ya! I didnt do much myself. We gave out candy to the million of kids that come to our subdivision. When Halloween rolls around its like gridlock dude! How are you today?
