My uncle is a bodybuilder and just seeing him made me want to get a little bigger and look and live better. I also wanted to be faster and stronger and I knew the only way that would happen was if I hit the weight room. Once my uncle introduced me I fell in love and loved seeing the results of hard work. I saw that I was a lot stronger on the track and I was a step ahead of a lot of my competition.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling after working out. I feel like a new person after I finish a workout and I love the day after feeling because it means I worked hard.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just look in the mirror and see where I feel I have flaws. For instance, if I need to build my shoulders up and whatever else needs work. I just know that no one will push me more than I push myself. I know the difference between great athletes and average athletes is hard work. The results show in the people that work hard.
BB Accomplishments:
I gained about 12 pounds this summer and got up to about 170. Before I left for school my sophomore year I felt great and felt if I had some more time I could have had a lot more gains. So next year in my offseason I have a blueprint on what I need to work on.

JNL trains harder than most guys at my gym...I love to see people train hard...most females think training hard is a crime or something...i tell girls all of the time to train hard and the results will blow your mind.
It is May 10th, Mother's day...I've been home for about 3 days and I'm back training hard. I trained back today and I saw my hamstrings are coming in well. I've been able to watch my diet more efficiently now that I'm home. I've been taking in a lot more protein these last couple of days. I'm...
I do know the burned out feeling. Good luck on reaching your goals. I see you're in Greenville. I work there. I train at the Gold's gym in New Bern. If you get a chance, you should check out the gym. Chris
with that focus you're gonna go far. you're right; it's not many younger people that are really into health and fitness. this sport takes a special breed of people. good thing is it is growing.
