When I Started:
How I Started:
I got my first group fitness certification from AFFA and started working as an instructor at a women's gym in Texas! But I really started focusing on workingout after my son was born in 2002!
Why I Love It:
It relieves stress . . . God only gave me one body, so I gotta take care of it! It just feels SOOOOO good . . . I love lifting heavy, sweating, thinking I'm not gonna make it the end of a set . . . and then getting it done . . .and adoring the burning feeling in my muscles!
How I Stay Motivated:
I really enjoy Oxygen magazine! Those are some fit women! And more importantly my son keeps my motivated. . . I want him to know the importance of staying healthy and fit! Plus wanting to look smoking hot, keeps me motivated too!!
BB Accomplishments:
For me . . . it's not a bodybuilding show (not yet anyway) . . . I have spent the last 20 months putting on as much muscle as possible and lifting very heavy. I can see my progress and it's obvious!! I'm thrilled with the results . . . now I just have to keep the muscle and focus on leaning out!

I used to have really awesome calve muscles (due to dance and cheerleading) so I just wanted to take a pic of them to see what my real progress will look like now that I'm focusing on them (this was taken without being up on my toes so I know how much definition I really have).
I've spent the last 20 months putting on muscle. I have no desire to be skinny, but I want to lean out. My ultimate goal is to be fit, toned, a little cut, but yet very feminine! I want to be able to maintain a body fat level of 18-20%.
I have been trying to commit to a consistent lifting program . . . I get bored so easliy, that I change what I do from week to week. But i'm wondering that if maybe I do the same things for at least two weeks I may be able to measure my progress more acurately. My shoulders and arms are...

Oh, thats awesome news! Great you are committing to that and holding yourself accountable. I'm doing pretty good, training is great, eating could be a bit better. Eating 100% clean is SUPER HARD!
Thanks . I actually do not do a whole lot of ab work. My workouts revolve around a lot of high intensity movements that require a lot of stabilization from my core. If I do any ab work it is usually knees to elbows , good old fashioned sit ups and isometric work like plank holds.
Thanks for the compliment! means a lot... Especially all those nights of Icing down the shoulders, some days I ask myself is it worth it? You better beleive it. Good luck with your goals...Just remember you can do it!
hey you...thanks for dropping by and the comments...but i have got my cardio going...you going to love the new pics...when i shink a little...i been bulking...for a few weeks now
