This was taken during the evening show of my first competition, The Utah Cup on March 24.
I competed in the NGA this past spring, I was real disappointed in how disorganized it was. I also thought the men were bigger than they were in the NPC (can you beat a polygraph?) So I figured I'd try the NPC. I want to compete next spring, but I hit a knee injury this year. So it'll be a spring time decision depending on if my lower body catches up after its hiatus. Good news is its finally starting to heal - after 600 bucks at the massage therapist, it better be healing!!!!! :)
I've only done one show so far. I took 2nd and was stoked. It was an NGA show and I was real disappointed with the organization of the event so I decided to try the NPC next time. I have to put on some size to compete with those athletes, we'll see how it goes. What took you out of the country? Your profule says you're from American Fork.
Thats great the diet or life style is going great. I took last week off from lifting. I like to try to rest my body about every 10 weeks. The old body need the rest, back was starting to hurt from squats and deads. But back in the gym this week. Hope you had a great week end
It's good to hear that you training is going well. I am right there with you on the whole cardio thing...it's not my favorite either. Good luck on getting your certification and with your training. Take care. -kenji
