When I Started: Jun, 2005
How I Started: My first introduction to a more professional level of fitness was teaching aerobic classes in Andersen AFB, Guam. Great place, great weather and great place to wear a bikini, so it was a fun place to start. Then we (my husband and I) moved to Germany as a second tour in the AF, became a personal trainer and that motivated me even more to take my fitness to a higher level, it was great place to start because Germany is really big on bodybuilding and figure competitions AND not to mention that many people who come to the gym are bodybuilders. I started mingling in their muscular crowd that sooner than later I started training for my very first figure competition and is a rolling ball, it started and now it won't stop!
Why I Love It: makes me feel better about myself, going into the gym and walking out drenched in sweat muscles screaming and a good vibe from the people makes me want to give more. And besides who doesn't love hearing "wow you look amazing, I want your abs or your back"
How I Stay Motivated: I try to keep in mind that long term goals are hard to achieve so, if I take baby steps I will reach my dream body, people that I work with are always willing to come and spot me, or do cardio with me. Teaching aerobic classes also motivates me, you got the crowd, the music and lots of good energy, you can never go wrong with that!
BB Accomplishments: My very first competition in figure and I placed in the top 3!!

Goals:
Main Goal: Improve For A Sport
Goal (Short): Lean out my legs so they stop bitching about me being "not lean enough"
Goal (Long): The first figure competition did turned out very well, I got 3rd place, not bad for a first timer. Second competition got second place, third, I got second as well, just as long as I stay on the top three!! MY goal however, is to bring home the gold!! working hard and not bullshiting with my life....Just like Q said!!

What is your cardio exercise plan?
1.5 hrs in the morning before breakfast (although i eat 1/2 banana before the session) 30min after weights and 1 hr at night!!

What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
HIIT training, it gets my heart rate up, keeps my body guessing and at the end I feel like i gave my all!!!

It was a great experience, the people, the crowd, the competitors and the support were amazing!!! I got second place but i was a bit disappointed with the outcome, all of the girls who competed for figure did nothing but bodybuilding routines poses and requirements...i was the ONLY one with...

Hey, you should look at it this way. You got an invitation to an awsome show and another opportunity to show them they made a mistake and an opportunity to show others how hard you work your @$$ off in the gym. I would honestly go if you can. This sport is also about getting connections and getting your name out there. You have the dedication and most importantly the support to do this and one day get your pro card! It was fun and thanks for the spots during workouts! Keep in touch gal!

It is no problem! I enjoy helping people whenever I can, especially when it is about the gym and working out. You have great drive, will, and ambition. If you are able to stay with this sport you should be able to do great! Just try to keep cheesecake far away from you. LOL. I am very excited to hear how you did! Let me know as soon as you can!!!

Hey hun!!! You are looking so fabulous! Load when you are flat...i loaded up the night before with 4 oz filet mignon and 4oz sweet potato. Fats seem to work better for me than simple carbs, find out what works best for you =)

you work SVS right? they should be able to hook you up! i don' tthink they can reserve rooms this far out for Space A customers. only 24hrs in advance. try to reserve billeting the day before you leave. even if nothing is available then, still check for rooms when you fly in. if everything is full, they'll refer you offbase. remember to check both lakenheath and mildenhall.
