I've always had the knowledge because I was in a weightlifting class in high school and worked at a Bally Total Fitness. But after I started college I got that darn freshman 15 (and then some). Since then I've just been unable to completely get it all off. So here I am trying torid my body of this fat and gain some lean muscle in the process!!
Why I Love It:
I LIKE working out because I know aside from nutrition, theres no other way that I will get into shape!! It's also a release for me when I'm not in a happy mood!!
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated because I know what goals I'm trying to achieve, and being that I still have a long way to go, I know if I am not strict or stay focused, it will be a harder, longer road for me!
I'm also motivated because I think I would like to try a figure competition, as well as some modelig soon!!
I want to lose 45 pounds, feel confident about myself, be healthy, and look great!!
Goal (Long):
I've once again reached a high weight for me (157 pounds does not look good on a 4'11" woman). So I'm here trying to lose the weight, but more so gain muscle and better health as well. I have the proper knowledge of what to do as far as nutrition and I know how to work out each muscle and how often I should. The problem was applying that knowledge and actually doing something about it. Thats what I'm working on now to make myself a much better person overall! I would like to reach my healthy weight and gain muscle to be a stronger better me... Sooo, here I go!!
Because Chickentuna looks freakin great, and has a kick a$$ body.. She clearly knows what it takes to have that rock hard body, and does not let anything keep her from looking that way!!!
In body-for-life, there are certain ways that we do it. The reps are 12, 10, 8, 6, 12, 12. But with each set, you increase weight, except for the last 2 12s!!
Well today starts the third week of my BFL program, and I must say, my excitement levels are still up up and away!! I'm still going hard on my workouts and I did take advantage of my free day (I went to visit my dad in the hospital, and yes we ate badly...but he's doing better). So I'm getting...
This is one of those weeks where I may have to get creative, but I'll get my workouts in somehow. I missed my leg day last week, so I definitely can't miss a day 2 weeks in a row.
You keep at it lady! We all have our down times now and then. I hope you have a wonderful weekend :) I want to hear how this next week goes for you if you get a chance!
that comment made me smile! Thank you for dropping in to check in on me. I am enjoying summer and taking advantage of the benefits of being home and eating and sleeping regularly and getting to train without restraint! How are you lady? What is your news?
Wow DeLores! I am so honored to be added to your list of people who inspire you. Thank you so much for the very kind words. It's really nice for me to be able to reference this when I need a little motivation :)
My problem is that weekends tend to get hectic, so the "eat 5 healthy meals per day" plan tends to turn into "just eat what's available". I'm glad to see you're doing well, and thanks for the compliment. :) I hope you make your Birthday goals.
I'm doing well. My gains have been good, and I've been consistent about working out. My diet is still lagging behind on the weekends, so I guess that's the next thing to change. Some of your pictures are impressively tiny by the way.
I cross trained with Krav Maga for a short time. That stuff is no joke. I'm currently taking a hiatus from martial arts entirely, which feel really weird, like a piece of me is missing. I haven't gone back and read all your blogs, but how did the Mother-In-Law challenge thing go?
well one thing is for sure, you cant weigh yourself it is broken! you have to go over to someone's house to use their scale and then you DO look crazy, its a good deterrent lol! :D
i think swimming is a great idea!! it works everything and is so much fun in the summer :) everything is going really well for me, thanks..im feeling stronger everyday & hving fun with it!
