Overall Goal: Though the green button may be lit I stay signed into the site often from my mobile. I check in daily, sometimes more than once. Thank you for your understanding folks. SteveO
Fit Status:
I am trying to lose my gut and the area around it.
I was working out in the military in the early 80s but wanted muscle to help me in my present career as well as for my self-esteem. Back in 1984 I was running 10 miles a day, 6 days a week and was only 150 # wet. Injury after injury plagued me and it was highly discouraging.
I started lifting in 1995 in my fire house. Overuse took over and I was injured from too many days of pyramids in bench pressing. I succumbed to the injury and would have surgery almost a year later. I never wanted to look at weights again.
I started working out again in 2003 after a 7 year break from it since I had to deal with shoulder surgery in 1996.
Why I Love It:
Setting the standard of fitness in my occupation. I need to be healthy as I get older and I need strength for my job and self-confidence for day to day life.
How I Stay Motivated:
I use this formula: Desire, Discipline,Delight.
Desire to work out.
Discipline TO work out.
Delight in the results.
BB Accomplishments:
My chest is really cut now and my shoulders have followed suit. Legs are following now.

A friend, fellow firefighter and full of laughs, I have watched Chad get bigger and bigger over the past couple of years and it is inspiring. He would be awesome to have on any department. He epitomizes what a fit firefighter should be.

My fire department battalion chief shared this with me this week. I am passing it on. These firefighters are in top notch shape and are on an all-vegan diet. The gray haired fireman impressed me.Those air packs are heavy and he does pull ups with one on his back.

Hey Steve, thanks a lot for all your kind words. It really means a lot to me to know that I am inspiring others. I think you look awesome for 49 and know that your going to look even better at 50. As for the youtube videos, I am actually going to start getting on that with a buddy of mine. Hopefully I can get them up this month. Keep in touch and let me know if you ever have any questions or anything. You Rock Man, keep on putting out those flames!
