When I Started:
Feb, 2004
How I Started:
I saw bodybuilders first time in the 70's, Schwarzenegger, Columbu, Draper etc. and loved the sport. But I was then a fatty young man who was too shy to go to the gym.
In the early 80's Kike Elomaa won Miss Olympia and bodybuilding became big hit in Finland (too). Then I decided to diet 30 kg, which I did. I trained few years but quit when I got children.
In 2004 I thought that something must be done before I'm 50 or I'll be dead before that. Luckily they built a gym to our office so I went there and restarted training...
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel good and keeps thougths away from work, stress and everything else. I love the solitude, being alone at the gym - just me and the iron.
One can see the results of the work quite soon.
Working out is like puttin money in bank. I love especially bodybuilding, not just working out. That's the gratest sport there is!
How I Stay Motivated:
I don't know why, but that is my biggest problem. One reason for my joining BodySpace was to get motivation when chatting and changing wiews with other bodybuilders and BB-fans.
BB Accomplishments:
Nothing yet. I was excited when I first time bench pressed 100 kg!
It would be nice if there were a calculator at the BS. It should count what's your bodyweight, if the BF-rate was zero.
For example: if your weight is 200 lb (90kg) and your BF rate 20%, then you'll weight 160 lb (72kg) with zero body fat. Of course nobody can have zero...
I'm going to take the whole week off, even if I'm recovered by then. I've overworked my system, my immune system is crappy. I need to give my body a break if I want if to perform efficiently. Plus my husband wants me to take the week off. Actually he wants me to take 2 weeks off, but there's no way I'd be able to do that. But thank you.
