Started working out in high school, joined Track and field, basketball, volleyball and my coach got me into women's weight lifting. It was fun! I kept working out in college since I was on scholarship at FSU for Shot put/hammer/weight throws.. It was mainly all olympic lifting which i LOVE!
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it gives me lots of energy, new goals to reach for, new obstacles to hurdle over and you meet people who like the same thing.. staying in shape and getting strong!
How I Stay Motivated:
I know i can always look better than i do right now, and coaching at a collegiate level- I have to set examples for the athletes who view me as a former star.
BB Accomplishments:
None yet! But I Broke some Shot put, Weight and hammer records at FSU, Hold the Shot put and hammer record 2007. Placed top 3 in the ACC 4x, was Ranked top 12 in the Nation in Shot put... Broke school records in Weight lifting as the strongest girl that has ever gone thru there, (with the exception of floor snatches.. )I was horrible at those!
We worked out together in June, she has so much energy and a positive out look on her workouts and future even though she battles through pain of her injuries daily... I think everyone can learn from her! She rocks!!
I can also say i have great genetics for legs (you can check them out in my pictures hoho) but even with the hard work, I wish they were as developed as yours! good work!
OMG what has happened to us? I can't believe the football team is this bad. I can truly say for the first time in my life that i'm looking forward to FSU basketball.
Hey, my computer at work wouldn't allow me to send you a private message. How are you holding up with the MS? I am about to read more into it online and was just offering someone to talk with.
I have a buddy who attends FSU. Do you still compete or coach? I couldn't figure it out. I just started with the BB.com jazz and will have pictures up soon enough.
You've been a successful competitive athlete, so you have the ability to tap into the will and energy to dust any ailment. Be strong. You know how to do it and you know you'll do it.
